Why Lovey?
I was born and raised as Janie or Jane Prewitt then married Loran and went by Jane Van Benthusen. Then in 2009 after a cancer diagnosis and lots of changes in my life I wanted to move away from complaining. I didn't want to post things online that were negative or not in a space of love. During silent meditation at a leadership workshop with Matthew and Terces Englehart at the BE LOVE farm in CA it came to me to use a word as an affirmation before my name online to keep me in a space of love. On the plane home Lovey came to me. Later on I recalled my dad calling me Lovey when I was young. So when I got home I told my husband and son, Jace and changed my name online to Lovey Jane Van Benthusen. I have been Lovey or Lovey Jane ever since. I haven't legally changed my name to Lovey but it is the name of my business.
